We ourselves are a small family living in the outskirts of Basel, a two hours` drive from Grindelwald. Besides skiing in Winter on Kleine Scheidegg or First, our favourite skiing areas in Grindelwald, we also appreciate going for a hike in summer. Around five years ago, we rented this apartment without any intentions of buying a property in the mountains. After spending a wonderful week in Grindelwald and the unexpected offer to buy the apartment, we did not hesitate and realised our dream of our own apartment in the mountains.
On top of the stunning view from the balcony, our apartment is very well located with respect to public transportation. The close ski bus stop (100m) in both directions, either to the Firstbahn or Männlichen/Grund railway station for the train up to Kleine Scheidegg, makes it easy to leave the car on the apartment's parking lot. In addition, it takes you just a few minutes` walk to the city centre for shopping or just for chilling out.
